Privacy Policy

SparkHub LLP (“SparkHub”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operates the SparkHub Ticketing Portal at ticket.sparkhub.mv(the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you when you use our Platform to register for events.

We collect the following categories of information when you register for an event through our Platform:

• Identity information: Full name, date of birth (if requested by the event host), gender (if requested), and national ID or passport number (if requested).
• Contact information: Email address and mobile phone number.
• Location information: Country, nationality, atoll, island or city of residence.
• Event-specific information: T-shirt size, dietary requirements, how you heard about the event, and any custom questions configured by the event host.
• Team information: Names and email addresses of team members (for team ticket registrations).
• Idea submissions: If an event requires an idea submission, we collect your idea title, problem statement, proposed solution, unique value proposition, product summary, and thematic area selection.
• Payment information: We do not collect or store payment card details. Payment is completed directly through the event host’s designated method (bank transfer or QR payment). We record the payment status of your registration.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you access the Platform.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and manage your event registration;
• Generate and deliver your registration confirmation and check-in code;
• Communicate with you about your registration status (confirmed, pending payment, waitlisted);
• Share your registration details with the event host for the purpose of event management, check-in, and attendee communications;
• Respond to your support requests;
• Comply with applicable legal obligations;
• Improve the reliability and functionality of the Platform.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

We share your information with:

• Event hosts: Organisers of events you register for will receive your registration details (name, email, phone, and any fields they configured) for the purpose of managing their event.
• Service providers: We use Supabase for secure database hosting. These processors operate under data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
• Legal authorities: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

We retain registration data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, and in any case for a minimum of 12 months following the event date to allow for post-event queries, payment disputes, and audit purposes. After this period, data may be anonymised or deleted.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@sparkhub.mv. We will respond within 30 days.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in encrypted-at-rest databases hosted by Supabase.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
• Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

The Platform uses session cookies necessary for authentication and form functionality. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of essential session cookies.

Our Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
